  • Christmas Decoration Afternoon

    Class 5 warmly welcomed parents and future SSSJ pupils to our Christmas Decoration Activity Afternoon. It was a tremendous success.

     

    Year 6 enjoyed decoration afternoon today. Thank you to all the parents and carers who were able to join us to create our Christmas crafts! It was a great afternoon!

  • Christmas Card Delivery

    Two of our Class 1 students went to deliver some lovely Christmas cards that the Class had made for the local community.

     

    Class 2 and 3 delivered their Christmas cards to the Earl Shilton community today. Have a lovely Christmas all!

     

    Year 6 headed out into the community to spread a little Christmas joy by posting Christmas cards they had made to households in our local area

    Our school choir performed superbly at their carol concert after school today: readings, songs, solos, duets - all brilliant! Mrs Hosmer was so proud. A big thank you to Mrs Gibson for accompanying and to the audience (who sang beautifully too!).

  • Santa Fun Run for Rainbows Hospice

    We took part in the @Rise_MAT  Santa fun run for

    @RainbowsHospice  this morning. A crisp winter day and lots of Santa hats! Well done everyone.

     

    Class 1, 2 and 3 all ran half a mile EACH this morning! That’s over 40 miles added to our total. The KS1 team are super proud of them, all of the SSSJ pupils and our RISE family for raising money for the amazing!

     

     

  • Anti Bullying Week 2023

    Class 1 wore odd socks and have been demonstrating being kind to their friends, by saying kind words and using kind actions. The class also liked singing along to Andy and the Odd socks- ‘who's in the odd socks?‘ song.

     

    Some amazing socks in Class 2 for Odd Socks Day on Monday. Thank you so much for getting involved everybody!

     

    Class 4 had a class discussion about banter for Anti-Bullying Week. It's not banter if: You would be upset if someone said it to you, if it's hurtful or someone's asked you to stop. We are going to try our best to be kind and keep our school a bully-free zone.

     

    Odd Socks Day in Class 5 marked the start of Anti-Bullying Week 2023, Wearing odd socks encourages our pupils to express themselves and celebrate their individuality.

     

    A great way to start off #AntiBullyingWeek. This week is always a great opportunity to reflect and learn about how we can "Make a noise about Bullying" and help to "stamp it out".

     

     

  • Remembrance Service

    Year 6 had the pleasure of participating in the service at the cenotaph in Earl Shilton this morning. A very poignant and special time. We placed the wreath from our school alongside others as a symbol of respect. “we will remember them”.

  • Cross Country

    We are very proud to have one of our amazing #year6 pupils represent our school in a Leicestershire Cross Country race. There were 73 participants in the Y6 girls' race and Isabella came 18th - a fantastic achievement. Well done from everyone in the #SSSJ community

  • Parent Workshare

    It was lovely to have so many parents join us for our Work Share session for the end of the half term. The children were very proud to show off all they have done.

  • Harvest Festival Church Service

    It was lovely to welcome so many of you to share in our harvest service at Church. The children read important messages & prayers beautifully & confidently. Thank you to Rev. Castle too. The choir made their debut performance & were fantastic!!
